On June 8th, Apple kicked off its yearly developer conference, WWDC.
As with previous years, the biggest announcement was the introduction of the new upcoming operating system, macOS 27 Golden Gate.
macOS 27 appears to have gained improvements over macOS 26, including possibly the most popular - changes to the Liquid Glass interface, which users seemed to either love or hate.
This year’s updates to Liquid Glass roll back some of the more polarising changes from last year, and have introduced a customisable level of transparency, which ought to help win over those who were less than impressed with its initial release in macOS 26.
Golden Gate also boasts a new, more conversational Siri, powered by AI. Reports from WWDC indicate that the new Siri seems to be designed to enhance the entire Apple ecosystem, rather than just using AI for the sake of using AI.
We are already hard at work testing ClamXAV with macOS 27 Golden Gate, so that we can ensure ClamXAV will be compatible with the new version of macOS when it’s made available to the public later this year.
If you’re already using macOS 27 on one of your own computers, please be sure to visit the ClamXAV Beta page to keep up-to-date with our latest builds.
