v3 Quarantining / Scan Email Question

Postby Radar1968 » Wed 22 Aug 2018 9:28 am

Hi,

Thought I'd post a separate question as others may find any answer useful.

In previous versions of ClamXav turning off quarantining when scanning email folders was recommended and something I did.

Given that Sentry in v3 scans everything (as per the answer to my previous post) and quarantining is turned on for the entire hard disk by default, can I assume Sentry is going something clever for email folders or should the quarantining be turned off, manually, by me, the user?

Kind Regards

Two things.

Email checking has been temporarily disabled in V3. It will be turned back on at a future date.

As long as you are using Apple Mail, then it is OK to allow e-mail to be quarantined. If you are using some other e-mail client, like Thunderbird, then you probably don't want it to quarantine e-mail since it will move the entire email database.
